HONORIS PROFESSIO

It’s a fair assumption to make that most everybody who has ever spent time on a skateboard has dreamt about what it might be like to go pro. For a very talented and fortunate few the stars align and they go on to live the dream of skateboarding for a living, while many more put their best foot forward in other ways to make a living behind the scenes in this beloved industry of ours. They are at the very heart of it and while most will tell you that they’re blessed to even be a part of this industry at all we at Mumble think that there’s at least a tiny part of them deep down inside that wishes they could have gone pro.
So each year, with the help of a few companies, we plan to bestow the honorary title of “professional skateboarder” upon three people who are in it for the long haul and are continuing to make a positive impact and substantial contributions to skateboarding from behind the curtain. We want to stoke them out and thank them with this honor and then give them a taste of the glory by having their names on the bottoms of small runs of boards (etc) which they’ll then earn royalties off of, just like the guys who are out in the streets every day living the dream.
