A MYSTERIOUS LITTLE BOX

POSTED January 6, 2009 BY Bob Kronbauer

I almost shit my pants today when this tiny little handcrafted box showed up on my doorstep with the return postmark reading “The Other Mother”…

coralinebox1

Laika studio in Portland spent the past three years working with Henry Selick (the director of The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach) creating the first ever 3D stop-motion animated film, based on Neil Gaiman’s children’s book, Coraline, and inside this little mystery box was a tiny needle, a spool of thread and two buttons…

Along with a letter…

Take a look at the trailer too see what these little gems are intended for…

Then visit Coraline.com and prepare to be impressed. Suffice it to say that I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing this film when it comes out in February. So awesome.
