[...] Club Mumble’s Bob Kronbauer has decided that there are a few people in skateboarding who gave so much to skateboarding that they deserved a pro model even though they’d never get one for skateboarding. The Skateboard Mag’s Grant Brittain is the first and it looks like there are a few more coming. [...]

I just bought one!
I know the proceeds will already go to Grind for Life, but once they’re all sold, I’m considering giving mine to another related charity, like http://www.athleterecoveryfund.com/, for them to auction it.
We’ll see.

The most awesome and high-minded thing I’ve seen since the Inauguration. Is that a glass telephoto lens? Or is Grant just happy to see us?

Via: Mumble [...]

I’m sad I missed out on this one… JGB is an early inspiration.

I love how he says “its a formula” and then they show that amazing image of Chris Miller at Upland. That is so far from “formula” Professor Brittain. That picture was carefully removed from the magazine and taped to my wall. It inspired me over 20 years ago. Its been seared into my brain. Thanks JGB!

What ever happened to this project? I’m still watching ebay for Grant’s board to show up and have crossed fingers this project will continue but with less than a month left I’d say odds are slim

I doubt you’ll see any of the Grant boards on ebay… maybe one day if someone is in dire straits, but they only sold one per customer.
We had two more lined up but they fell through on the board end… got something extra special cooking for January though, keep your eyes peeled.
