IT’S MY KENNY IN A BOX

POSTED February 10, 2009 BY Bob Kronbauer

So, I was doing some digging last night. I have so much crap that if I had a garage or if I actually owned a house I wouldn’t feel so bad about, but when you’re a renter, dragging heavy boxes of things from spot to spot every few years gets old. So every once in a while I look at my storage and I think “There’s so much stuff in here that I can totally get rid of, that doesn’t really mean much to me. I’m such a consumption whore to hold onto all of these material things, what’s wrong with me?”.

Then I start going through the boxes and I come across things that I consider getting rid of because I didn’t personally design them, or there’s not a solid enough connection between them and my life to keep hauling them around with me, but in the end I usually end up just closing up all of the boxes and deciding to hold onto it all.

As I do this every few months, I’ll try to take photos of some of this stuff so that it’s not all just sitting in a box in the dark… so that there’s maybe a photo of it sitting on the internet and it’s totally not just a waste of space in my life.

One of the things I found in a box last night was Kenny Anderson’s first board on Chocolate. I took the reference photo for Evan Hecox to illustrate this board off of, so I guess you could say that I kinda had a part in designing it… so I’m keeping it.
