Made a minor mistake while photocopying a ‘zine a little while back. I kind of like it though.
That’s Cory Wilson grinding a five-0, and Mila Franovic modeling.
It’s been a long time in the planning and procrastination stages, but my older sons are now nine and seven years old so it is time to get started. I hope to show you day two before they graduate. My plan is to finish the joists and bracing and put the sheeting and coping on tomorrow. I should have it at the end of my driveway by day’s end. Stay tuned for the final update of my sons going over-under.

The new GWAR album I shot is out. I must say it was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever photographed in my life. We did the front cover shot at their headquarters in Antarctica and the setup was just amazing! It’s crazy how the photos looked photoshoped but they weren’t, I gave the photos to the Slave Pit Slaves right away and I mean, there is no way they know how to use computers.
My friend and I just posted up our first project proposal on Kickstarter – a great site that allows artists to try and get funding for all their crazy ideas. What we would like to do is create a 20 page 11.38″ x 17″ tabloid newspaper, edition of 1000. The first and last page would be full color and the rest would be black and white. The two of us would collaborate to write articles, poems, stories, comics, and illustrations, and typography.
It would be called “Egg on Bread” and its format would be very similar to that of your everyday newspaper. BUT, nothing would be factual and everything would be playful, funny, well-designed, and beautifully illustrated.
Both of us are very passionate about print and feel like we want to contribute to its survival in times like these, when it is very under-appreciated.
If you are even the slightest bit interested, take a look and maybe donate – even $5 dollars helps – and it will get you a copy of the newspaper when its printed.
Todd St. John: Section
“Section” is comprised of works on paper and sculpture that St. John has been developing over the past 7 years. The Mollusk show pushes further some of St. John’s experiments with parallel representations of two and three-dimensional space, and the stark use of cropping, both photographic and mechanical.
As some of you may know, I have temporarily left California and moved up yonder to an empty space on the map called Idaho. It’s pretty quiet, and there is plenty of room for my daughter to play in the yard. The other day I looked out my office window and saw these two fellers mowing my lawn.
