CROWNFARMER WEEK 2 - TONY LARSON
After a nearly 2 year hiatus it is with great pleasure that I re-introduce my t-shirt brand, Crownfarmer! From now until forever it will be holding hands with Club Mumble to bring you a t-shirt designed by a member in good standing along with a quick interview with them.
Week 2 is a design by original Mumbler, long time member of the Girl Skateboards Art Dump turned DC Shoes director of advertising, Tony Larson! Click HERE to grab one of his tees or continue reading to learn a little more about Tony and what he does…
What was the first design you ever got paid for?
I think it was doing paintings for Ken Block and Damon Way. Right around that time I also got paid to do some graphics for Jeff Petit and Nate Cole for Type A Snowboards.
What was the last design you got paid for?
The “Tea Bag” deck for Skate Mental. Brad paid me in therapy minutes.
What’s your favorite book ever?
Oh man… Uh, maybe “True Colors” by Anthony Haden Guest..
What was the last book you bought?
I believe it was a Nathan Oliveira book…
If you had to list your top 3 influences, what or who would they be?
1. Mark Bradford and Henry Taylor
2. The Art Dump members, past and present
3. Walking around cities.
What’s the worst thing about your life right now?
That I’m not making a living doing just fine art.
What’s the best thing about your life right now?
My daughter’s smile.

I like your point about Men and women, Psychology, and Philosophy. thanks for the enjoyable photos. In addition to knowing how persons think and react, we can also get lessons and values in these topics that we can incorporate in our writing approach and overall behavior towards writing.Jenny
