With Mumbler’s in mind I was leaked some exclusive advance imagery and info from the exceptionally talented TWO ONE‘s next solo show. It is coming up at Gorker Gallery here in Melbourne in a few weeks. “The show will include a series of 20 limited Lino cut prints. Prints are all hand made by the artist. Hand drawn, hand cut, and hand pressed. However each print have only one character… a little off registration makes beauty of imperfection.”

At Gorker Gallery, opening on 25th of February.
More details will be announced soon.

I’ve posted a link on Mumble before to an episode of Dave Ackels’ Absorb video series but I finally got a chance to sit down and talk to him a little bit about the series and get his views on the history of skateboard videos for Level Magazine.

You probably don’t know this but as well as being the founding editor of Club Mumble I also do a hyperlocal web site that focuses on the city I love, Vancouver BC Canada. The site is called Vancouver Is Awesome and essentially we talk about all things that makes the place, well, you know. Awesome.

Generally there’s no crossover between Mumble and Vancouver Is Awesome but today I feel like I have to tell you about this interview that I did with Michael J. Fox, who is one of our finest exports, because over the years I have heard SO many people say that they started skateboarding because of the Back To The Future movies. We talked about Joey Shithead from D.O.A., his favourite things about this city and those much-talked-about Nikes that he wore in Back To The Future 2. Have a READ.

As time has passed, mid-’90s Toy Machinist Satva Leung has found a few different outlets for his creativity than just nollie backslide flipping through grannies’ ankles in Union Square -see Welcome To Hell again, thanks. A slashy-award winner DJ/videographer/director, he still found some time to put together the list of his five tunes in a skateboard video for A Visual Sound.
