Here’s a rare example of what can happen if a client likes an idea. I was originally hired to piggy back a photo shoot and shoot a video stylebook for Puma Sports. The creative director at Puma, Alex Lowe, asked me to pitch him some ideas for a set design and I sketched up a set of letters spelling PUMA connected with doors and stairs. A month later I was looking at a two story PUMA being fitted with graphics from Justin Kreitemeyer and Steven Harrington of National Forest, along with special help from Andy Holder.

Here is the first look at the new product offering from Broadcast. The 2010 catalog consists of a range of premium American urethane wheels and a small line of basic skate apparel. I must divulge that the wheels are mighty perfect: everyone has been approving them as the best wheels they’ve ever skated. Straight from the horses mouth.

A Turntable Lab Exclusive with the Solitary Arts
For our tenth anniversary, we teamed up with our favorite designer, Geoff McFetridge, and one of your favorite skate companies, Solitary Arts, to create this exclusive shirt. We’ve always loved this particular illustration, as it elegantly captures the pains of the creative process. We think it captures our saga well. This will only be available at turntablelab.com and our stores.

We have seen things that we don’t want Terry to see yet. But this is going to be a fun-filled year. Here we are on our way to the all team’s meeting and the start of a new year of improv and inspiration.
The GISS Improv team is excited to begin a new year with the Canadian Improv Games. I plan to follow our adventures here on Mumble Magazine. Stay tuned for the next installment when we perform in the X-Rounds in a couple of weeks - theme event and two of Story, Style or character - Nov. 27 in Esquimalt along with teams from that school, Claremont and Oak Bay. BOOM.
We have been proud participants in the Canadian Improv Games for the past six years, including two trips to the national tournament in Ottawa. The CIG is an amazing organization and these improvisors are ready to attack the stage and discover moments filled with captivating characters while creating beautiful stories and sensitively redefining man’s place in the universe. I believe in cherishing fleeting and irreplaceable time, and every chance we get to improvise honours this and hopefully leads to another chance to improvise.
We perform in an amazing region. Last year’s national champs were Vancouver Island’s own GP Vanier from Courtenay.
