I made this guy to celebrate Australia Day, which was on January 26th, so my apologies for the delayed post, but better late than never.

His name is Chunder From Down Under. The term chunder apparently came from the original sea-man’s term, “watch under”. They would shout this in order to warn people in the lower cabins of a ship of puke coming from above.

Although it isn’t a common term used in the United States (something I am hoping to change), you may have heard in the chorus of the infamous song “Land Down Under” by Men At Work!!

Remember last year when we helped turn legendary skate photographer Grant Brittain pro? This year we’ve teamed up with Emerica and The Skateboard Mag to bestow another honor upon another well-deserving human who has done immeasurable good for the skateboard industry.

This past Saturday night we bestowed the honorary title of “Professional Skateboarder” upon brand wizard and mentor-to-many, former Emerica brand/team manager turned Altamont conductor, Justin Regan! Every now and then an oddly shaped box shows up at the door and we immediately know that it is something special. My good friend Yong-Ki from Solitary Arts sent me this skateboarding history gem, and I am waaay grateful for it because it is a deadstock resurrection of my very first Free Former skateboard that was the catalyst in teaching me the ways of the skate. It’s pretty awesome to ride on one of these again- and I was surprised by the reminder that skate technology has come a very long way. Thanks again Yong-Ki!
