these.

Recently saw these two ads of ours on newsstands now, pretty siked on the way they came out. The all black is so classy. You can see them bigger on our bloggy blog.

A couple weeks ago I shared the Paul Rodriguez/Ice Cube Nike SB commercial, this week they’ve upped the ante and thrown Kobe Bryant and Koston into the mix…
Visit the mini site for behind the scenes videos and product shots of Paul’s new shoe, the Zoom Air Paul Rodriguez III:

Shoe: Converse Weapon Hi 86
Color: Brown leather upper, Eggplant lining, and Butter Yellow laces.

I’m the farthest thing from a sneakerhead, but when our sample of the Custom Weapon Hi by Converse was delivered to the studio, I was pretty freaking ecstatic. These shoes turned out awesome and I really liked the color, so we thought it proper to take a few photos before I laced up and destroyed them on some griptape. Special thanks to Jason Thome and Damion Silver at Converse for letting me design the shoe.
My friend Mike Manzoori a new website where you can view his lovely portfolio and also watch the classic Sheep Shoes Life of Leisure video!
So two super awesome skate shoe commercials came out this week. If there were awards for skateboarding commercials exclusively I think these two would be battling neck and neck for the best one of 2009. View em both below and then cast your vote and reasoning in the comments of this post?
RICK HOWARD LAKAI COMMERCIAL:
PAUL RODRIGUEZ NIKE SB COMMERCIAL:

Hey Comrades,
BUNYIP
Bunyip is a mythical creature from Australian folklore, who is a green slimy monster that lurks in swamps and billabongs.
He was created by unstitching the back panels of the shoes, fusing them together to create one piece, and then brought to life.

A while back Mr. Piscitelli posted a landscape shot of Hubba Hideout from a DVS shoot. The above shot of Tory Pudwell doing a nollie-healflip crooked grind and the following are a couple poacher shots from the session.

For Immediate Release:
Nike Skateboarding welcomes Eric Koston to the team!
2009 is shaping up to be the busiest summer ever for Nike SB, but simply put, any time is a good time to add Eric Koston to your team.
Eric had this to say:
“Not only am I psyched to be a part of the great group of guys that makes up the Nike SB team, but I’m equally as excited to work with them creatively. I’m sure many people know that a lot of different Nike’s have been the inspiration for my shoe designs over the last 12 years, so I feel like a fucking kid in a candy store when it comes to this partnership between Nike and I.”
