MAKE IT COUNT PHOTO SERIES – RYAN KINGMAN

September 4, 2010

kingman11

Throughout 2009, Kirk Dianda filmed and edited MAKE IT COUNT, The Element Story. The documentary is a four-part series, that tells the story of the iconic brand and the people that helped shape what it is today. Element also released a 200-page photo book, which included a DVD of the film too, which sold out almost immediately. But if you missed it, FUEL TV will be airing the film as a 4-part series… Tune in, and check it out.

Throughout the production process, I was lucky enough to travel with Kirk while he interviewed this collection of truly inspiring people and shoot behind-the-scenes photos.

From starting out as a kid that was scraping the ink off skateboard silk screens, to becoming the Team Manager, and eventually the Marketing Director, Kingman’s long history with Element has been one and the same.

Ryan Kingman is a gentle giant, with a distinctive red mustache, that has since moved on to new endeavors. Here is a link to a brand he is helping start from the ground up, again… STANCE.

Nevertheless, Click here to see a collection of photos I shot of Kingman and Kirk at Element (Irvine, California, circa 2009) during his MAKE IT COUNT interview.

MAKE IT COUNT, CHAPTER 4 – “EARTH”

December 10, 2009

MAKE IT COUNT, CHAPTER 4 – “EARTH”

“EARTH” is the fourth chapter of MAKE IT COUNT. The conclusion focuses on Element’s continued growth, reach, success, and diversity and is told through the familiar faces of the first three chapters. More so, Lil’ Jon, Pharrell Williams, and a host of artists and musicians (including Mumble members Amber B, Jeremy Fish, and Todd Francis) chime in to further explain the common thread amongst creative individuals.
